The process to repair my car was virtually hassle-less for me. Their team was able to diagnose and fix the problem with my 98 Malibu’s gear shifter in a few days - something that should hopefully prolong the use of my car!

Reception was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. She was upfront about areas of potential additional cost (as some items/areas were designed poorly with my vehicle. I knew of these areas of potential issue beforehand and the potential for additional cost was not surprising; however, reception being aware and being upfront about cost is a new and much appreciated experience for me). A bit later on, after they assessed my vehicle, I received a text with a breakdown of the estimated costs/expenses for everything I had requested as well as an explanation of what was believed to be necessary to fix those items, requesting approval before proceeding. They did not attempt to upsell me or add the typical additional unrelated services that many other shops tend to try to. They texted me when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Since I was going to arrive within 10 minutes of their closing time (due to my own restrictions. They had informed me of the vehicles readiness several hours earlier), I let them know by text. They said that they would pull-up my vehicle, so that it would be ready upon my arrival, and that I could pay over the phone if I wanted to. I agreed to do so and they informed me that they would place my key in a lockbox (in case I was delayed and did not arrive before they closed), send me the code for it, and would place my receipt and work order info in my vehicle. I received the code shortly thereafter. When I arrived (at their close, due to light delays), my vehicle was sitting at the front with the paperwork/receipt in my passenger seat. I had no issue retrieving my keys from the lockbox. They had oriented my vehicle in a way where I could easily retrieve it and leave. I believe the costs were reasonable and my bill ended up being less than they initially estimated. At the time of payment, prior to requesting my payment information, they went over the bill items, what was done, and when follow-up should occur (as one of my issues requires periodic monitoring). In short: Great customer service. Knowledgeable. Upfront and reasonable costs. I’ll be making the drive to use them again.

My check engine light was on. I knew I could not get an emissions test with it on and I could not get a tag. Although my car is older and probably not worth much to anyone else, I love my car and I am not ready to just give up on it. Gunter’s Automotive found the problem and corrected it for a very reasonable price. They called me with the price before they fixed it, which was very nice. They repaired the car and I have not had any problems with it. All the people there were friendly and nice. Often, at other locations, I have felt targeted as a stupid female. I had nothing but respective service and I appreciate it. I will go back there when I need to and I will tell anyone about their competent service.

Gunter has always been great about finding the problems on my truck and taking care of them. I have had no more trouble from anything they have worked on for me.
