It's very difficult to find an independent shop that truly cares about older cars. We have a well-loved Subaru WRX "bugeye" that isn't worth much except in the eyes of rally fans... and Gunter has provided a number of key services on it. Michelle, the front desk lady, is exceptionally knowledgeable about automobiles and really does a great job of steering each service project through. The techs have always taken the initiative to analyze problems and don't just throw parts at it. In fact, I was almost certain my clutch friction plate needed replacing until the tech found that it had gone out of adjustment, and saved us $1500. Their new shop is quite pleasant and the communications through the service process are top notch.

We came from out of town to purchase a vehicle and had them complete two used car inspections. They were exceedingly helpful and even did not charge us for the inspection of the first car we brought in because they quickly found a rust problem. My first experience with Gunter made them my go to shop. I was informed by another shop that they could not locate the source of vibration and pulling in the steering wheel. I took it to Gunter and they were able to locate and resolve the issue quickly. Everyone there has always gone above and beyond on my vehicles and will therefore continue to get my business. I tell everyone I can about how great they are.
